Serinette birds organ
An instrument that showed up in France late in the 18'th century. It was used for training singing birds to sing the desired tunes. Papageno in the Mozart Opera " " has one hanging round his neck. This organ was bought on E-bay in Germany and was of course another restoration object. Leakage in the main bellows and some missing details.
It is still on the work bench due to other priorities and is an tricky job since someone in an earlier repair attemt has used a modern glue wich makes dismantling the glued joints almost impossible without damage to the surrounding woodwork.
